Meet the Gucci Ophidia Belt Bag
It’s no secret that fanny packs are back in a big way for spring 2018, and whether you love them, hate them or hate that you love them, there’s no denying it’s a trend that’s here to stick around for a while. If you’re of the set that hates ’em, then you might want to place blame on Gucci. This trend is back big, in large part because of Gucci, so if you’re gonna dip your toes into the belt bag pond, then there’s no other way to go than the Gucci way. The Marmont Belt Bag is a really terrific choice, but I’m also crushing on Gucci’s newest option: The Ophidia Belt Bag in suede.
My favorite thing about the Gucci Ophidia line is how timeless all the bags are. The Ophidia is a an ode to Gucci’s vintage designs, and I just can’t get enough. I love the classic design of the Ophidia paired the with trending shape of a belt bag. The suede body contrasts with crackled patent leather, and though this bag is straight from Gucci’s runway, it’s best to be worn on the streets, just like your favorite street style stars. I paired this bag with light wash Levi’s, a white t-shirt and black leather jacket with my trusty Adidas sneakers. My basics allowed this bag to speak for itself, and I seriously wish it were mine.
Though this bag comes in Gucci’s classic GG logo print, I love that the suede is a bit understated but still classically Gucci, with its striped red and green detailing. It’s giving off some severe 90s vibes, but in the best possible way. This bag is small but best for the day-to-day essentials, and I easily fit all of mine in there and even could have fit a few more. For a belt bag, it absolutely holds a lot more than you would think.
