3D modelling is the process of creating any three-dimensional space or object, managing testing areas, facets and points, in a graphical 3D editor. 3D models can be created manually with special modelling programs that allow the artist to create and deform testing area planes or by scanning a real object in an array of points that can be used to identify and digitize an object in electronic form.
3D modelling is used very widely, including engineering, entertainment, films, visual effects, game development or commercial advertising. The most popular example is James Cameron’s modern film “Avatar” which is recognized as the most successful 3D film to date.

Typically, high-poly modelling is used to create objects without time-limited display, i.e. in advertising, architectural and engineering projects. A low polygonal is rather used in the gaming industry where the main criterion is speed display of the 3D model.
